Fashion and Beauty
Hey guys! Sorry we’ve been radio silent! Until this week, here in SoCal summer’s been hanging on to it’s 15 minutes of fame. Needless to say, we’ve been out soaking it up on the beach. Sorry to those of you already knee deep in the fluffy white stuff. Although, we’re jealous that you’re already getting to rock your puffy coats with the fur collars, or those wonderful structured wool coats with leather leggings and booties.
Speaking of winter white. Grandma would’ve never worn white after Labor Day, but no longer are white jeans during the colder months cringe-worthy. Wearing winter white in the fall and winter is an energizing way to brighten up those fugly fall days. Ivory, cream, ecru and winter white add a delicate tone to your winter wardrobe. So go ahead and wear those white jeans! Just ensure you’re pairing them with the right top and accessories.
When styling your winter white outfit, to avoid looking like you’re going on a date with Frosty, be aware of what colors you wear your whites with. Stick to neutrals like black, brown, camel, gray, and of course denim. If you want to wear color, jewel tones make a rich contrast. The fabric is key when wearing white in the winter, too. Think white wool, a chunky cable knit, a tailored white tuxedo jacket, ivory cashmere or creamy velvet corduroy.
Here are some of our favorite looks to try this fall and winter.
